Tilo Senger

Tilo Senger, PhD, MBA, currently serves as the Head of Global R&D Program Management at EMD Serono, overseeing a revamped management approach across all therapeutic areas and integrating regional teams in Asia. With extensive experience in leadership roles, including previous positions as Head of Global Early-Stage Development Operations and Head of Global Early-Stage Project Leadership at EMD Serono, Tilo has a strong track record in streamlining drug development processes and enhancing operational effectiveness. Prior to EMD Serono, Tilo held significant roles at Merck KGaA, focusing on early-stage development and project management in oncology, and served as an in-house consultant. Tilo's career began in research at the dkfz - German Cancer Research Center and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Academic qualifications include an MBA from ESSEC Business School, a PhD in Virology and Immunology from Heidelberg University, and a diploma in Biotechnology from Technische Universität Braunschweig. Additionally, Tilo co-founded Beyond Science Trainings, dedicated to mentoring young professionals in the life sciences.
