Valerie Morris

Valerie Morris, PhD, is a Senior Medical Director in US Medical Affairs for Oncology at EMD Serono, Inc., with extensive experience in oncology and medical science liaison roles. Since July 2015, Valerie has led a six-member Oncology Medical Science Liaison team and provided field medical affairs support for various oncology agents. Prior to this, Valerie was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Fred Hutch from October 2009 to July 2015, where research work focused on myeloid leukemias and resulted in multiple publications. Valerie also served as a Science Writer/Editor at Fred Hutch, producing numerous articles on cancer research. Earlier research at the University of Washington involved investigations into signaling pathways related to Kaposi's sarcoma and contributions at CTI BioPharma included validating cancer therapeutic targets. Valerie holds a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Washington and a BS in Biochemistry from Colorado State University.
