Tara L. Murphy

Tara L. Murphy is a licensed professional counselor and licensed alcohol and drug counselor, currently serving as the owner of Tara Murphy, LPC, LADC since August 2015. With extensive experience in individual psychotherapy addressing mental health and substance abuse issues, Tara also provides evaluations related to court proceedings and engages in public speaking on mental health topics. Additional roles include serving as a certified EMDR therapist at EMDR Institute Inc., and presenting workshops focusing on trauma and mindful self-compassion at various conferences. Tara's prior experience encompasses significant positions in program management, admissions, and clinical supervision across multiple organizations, supported by a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Albertus Magnus College.
