Michel Beguin

Michel Beguin is an accomplished Project Manager with extensive experience in energy management and building decarbonization initiatives. Currently at NYSERDA since January 2021, Michel leads projects related to building decarbonization, including the Empire Building Challenge and Real-Time Energy Management. In parallel, Michel also manages projects at EME Consulting Engineering Group, LLC. Previous roles include Energy Analyst at Alvarez & Marsal, where analysis of real-time IoT data informed energy management strategies, and Manager at BlocPower, where responsibilities encompassed building energy audits and development of energy modeling software. Michel's academic background includes a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University, complemented by early engineering experiences in product development and quality assurance.
