Brian Pagel

Brian Pagel is the EVP of Construction, Medical, and Military at Emerald Expositions. Brian has over 20 years of experience in the media industry, with a focus on sales and marketing.

Pagel began their career in 1999 as an Account Executive at Bill Communications. Brian then moved to Leader Publishing in 2000, where they served as an Account Executive responsible for print advertising sales. In 2001, they joined Nielsen Business Media as a Senior Account Executive, and was promoted to Vice President in 2005. In this role, they were responsible for sales, marketing, operations, and finance for the Imprinted Sportswear Shows and Impressions Magazine. During their tenure, they successfully repositioned a 30-year-old declining business by creating a cohesive approach to the marketplace that resulted in substantial growth in both revenues and market share.

Pagel joined Emerald Expositions in 2008 as VP of Sales and Marketing. In this role, they oversaw all sales and marketing initiatives for the company’s construction, medical, and military trade shows. Brian was promoted to their current role as EVP of Construction, Medical, and Military in 2013. In this role, they are responsible for the overall strategy and direction of Emerald Expositions’ construction, medical, and military trade shows. Under their leadership, these trade shows have experienced significant growth and are now some of the largest and most successful events in their respective industries.
