Marisa Lowey-Ball has a diverse work experience within the field of design. Marisa started their career as a Graphic Design Intern at SOURCED. a california collective in 2015. Shortly after, they worked as a Web and Graphic Designer at Eternity Crossfit, where they revamped the website design and improved its functionality. In 2016, they joined Saddleback College as a Publicity Assistant in the Fine Arts Department, where they created digital and print compositions to promote theatrical and musical performances. In 2018, Marisa joined Emerald as a Graphic Designer, where they assisted the Creative Director with design and layout of marketing materials. Marisa later became the Design Lead, focusing on maintaining consistent branding across different channels. In their most recent role as Design Director at Emerald, Marisa took responsibility for creating new branding ideas and managing a team of graphic designers.
Marisa Lowey-Ball holds a B.A in Politics and Fine Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Marisa also obtained a Certificate in Graphic Design and Web Design from Saddleback College. In addition, they have certifications in "Build a free website with WordPress" and "Introduction to User Experience Design" from Coursera, which were obtained in 2023.
