Natalie Thavenot has a diverse work experience in graphic design roles. Natalie started their career as a Graphic Designer at Employment Today Newspaper in 2000 and later joined Atlanta Cars Magazine as a Senior Graphic Designer. There, they trained and supervised junior designers, worked with clients on creative design, and produced various promotional materials. In 2004, they became the Art Director at Atlanta INtown Paper, where they managed press checks, directed photo shoots, and implemented new strategies to increase readership and revenue. Natalie then worked as an Art Director/Production Manager at Atlanta Parent Magazine, where they managed website design, web ad placement, and trained employees on content management systems. In 2009, they joined Oglethorpe University as a Contract Graphic Designer, where they consulted and designed athletic guides, catalogs, ads, and redesigned the athletic logo. Currently, they are working at Emerald as a Design Director and Sr. Graphic Designer/Design Lead.
Natalie Thavenot attended Kennesaw State University from 1996 to 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Photography. Prior to that, they attended Holy Name Convent High School. In 2019, they obtained a certification in Collaborative Design: Managing a Team from LinkedIn.
