Bruno DoValle

Lead Hardware Engineer at Emerald

Bruno DoValle has worked in the hardware engineering field since 2004. Bruno began their career as an Intern at Axcelis Technologies in 2004. From 2005 to 2008, they were a Research Assistant at Boston University, where they designed a radiation hardened circuit to control the motors of an instrument to be mounted on a U.S. Air Force satellite used to measure electromagnetic radiation. Bruno then worked as a Research Assistant at MIT from 2008 to 2015, where they developed an implantable subdermal EEG recorder and seizure detector for patients with epilepsy. During this time, they also designed an ASIC containing all circuits in 0.18 µm process. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Boston Scientific. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Hardware Engineer at Kernel, where they developed neuro-technology that spans an invasive to non-invasive spectrum for medical and consumer markets. Bruno was involved in all aspects of hardware design (ASIC and PCB) to develop the next generation of Brain Machine Interface (BMI). In 2020, they began their current role as Lead Hardware Engineer at Emerald Innovations.

Bruno DoValle completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Boston University in 2006. Bruno then earned their Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Boston University in 2008. Finally, they earned their PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015.
