Siqiao Ruan

Siqiao Ruan is a Software Engineer at Emerald Innovations starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Science Intern at Amazon Global Robotics from May 2022 to August 2022, where they built a deep learning takt time estimation model. Siqiao also has experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Qualcomm Institute - UC San Diego Division of Calit2 from June 2020 to June 2021 and at UCSD Advanced Robotics and Controls Lab from November 2018 to May 2020. They were a Research Intern in Deep Learning at 寒武纪 in August 2019, where they researched trainable quantization methods for convolutional neural networks. Siqiao also has experience as an Academic Tutor at UC San Diego for CSE 21 from June 2019 to August 2019, and as an Internship Trainee at 恒安嘉新（北京）科技有限公司 from July 2017 to October 2017, where they performed software reverse engineering and security analysis. Additionally, Siqiao worked as a Summer Researcher at Tsinghua University from July 2016 to May 2017.

Siqiao Ruan completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at UC San Diego from 2017 to 2021. Following this, they pursued Cross Registration at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from 2021 to 2022. During the same period, Siqiao Ruan also enrolled at Harvard University, where they obtained a Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering.
