Mohammed Alam

Mohammed "Jahangir" Alam serves as the Executive Vice President - North America and Chief Investment Officer at Emeren Group since April 2025, providing overall leadership for the North American business unit of a publicly traded renewable energy independent power producer. Previously, Alam acted as a Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of Emeren, contributing to the restructuring of the US business unit. Alam has an extensive background in the renewable energy sector, including roles such as Head of M&A for Boralex Inc. and Chief Financial Officer at Seventus. Additional experience includes advisory roles for the Center for Sustainable Enterprise, ServiceNet, and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Alam holds an MPPM (MBA) in Finance and Competitive Strategy from Yale School of Management and a BS in Finance, Economics, and International Management from UMass Boston.
