Douglas Barton

Douglas Barton is an experienced investor and managing director with a strong background in the education sector. Since October 2017, Douglas has served as an investor at Emerge Education, focusing on seed stage investments in early-stage technology companies that tackle global education challenges. Douglas seeks to support ambitious founders in Europe and emerging markets with capital requirements ranging from £100k to £1m. Additionally, Douglas has held the position of managing director at Elevate Education since June 2001. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Monash University and earlier studies at the University of Sydney and North Sydney Boys' High School.
