Gary Tashima

Gary Tashima has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Managing Director of Alumni and College Success at EMERGE since August 2019, after holding positions including Interim Managing Director of College Success and Director of Districts. Previously, Gary worked as a Program Manager at EMERGE from November 2017 to August 2019. Gary's background also includes teaching positions at YES Prep Public Schools and Brownsville Independent School District, as well as serving on the Institute Staff for Teach For America. Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, Society and the Environment from the University of Minnesota, earned in 2007.
