Alisha Woodward Burleson has an extensive work experience history. Alisha began their career as an intern at the Office of United States Senator Barbara Boxer in 2005. From there, they worked as an executive assistant at iPurity Clean Process in 2006. Alisha then served as an administrative assistant at the Congressional Hunger Center in 2007, handling various administrative tasks and supporting board meetings and training sessions.

Following this, Alisha became the operations director at Emerge, overseeing human resources, budgeting, and benefit programs.

Their most recent role is the chief of staff at Emerge, where they are responsible for setting and implementing strategic goals, policies, and day-to-day activities. Alisha also leads the development and mentorship of national staff.
