EMERGE
Amy Cervantes is an experienced education professional with a strong focus on college success and career readiness. Currently serving as the Manager of College Success at EMERGE Fellowship, Amy coordinates programming for approximately 400 college-age students and collaborates with various universities to support student re-enrollment and success. Prior experience includes roles as a College & Career Readiness Advisor at Houston ISD, where Amy planned college workshops and launched an alumni program, and as a Retention and Completion Specialist at KIPP Houston Public Schools, leading college completion workshops and advising alumni. Amy holds a Master's in Public Administration and Policy from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Sociology/Anthropology from Lake Forest College.

EMERGE offers a student-to-college counselor ratio of 60:1 allowing staff members to work closely with students and their families to ensure success. EMERGE is an innovator among college access organizations nationwide and partners with selective schools that yield higher than average graduation rates and provides substantial financial aid for first-generation students from low-income communities. EMERGE scholars earn college degrees at 10x the national average for students from low-income, under-resourced communities.
