Akash Lohumi

Akash Lohumi is currently a Partner at Emergence Software, having joined the company in 2023 as the first employee, focusing on establishing a coalition of B2B software supported by The Pritzker Organization. Prior to this role, Akash served in private equity at Strategy& from 2021 to 2023, where an accelerated promotion to a post-MBA position involved conducting due diligence and developing post-deal strategies. In 2020, Akash was involved in business development at Stride Funding, a venture-backed platform aimed at enhancing student funding in higher education. Earlier in 2019, Akash worked on product development at Soy Moni, a fintech initiative targeting the gender wealth gap. Akash also completed national service as an Armament Turret Specialist in the Singapore Army from 2016 to 2018. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, and Molecular Engineering from the University of Chicago and a degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
