Christy Bigelow

Christy Bigelow has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Christy has held various roles in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, showcasing their expertise in manufacturing, technology transfer, and validation. Currently, they serve as the Vice President & General Manager of Emergent BioSolutions' manufacturing site in Lansing, Michigan. Previously, they have held positions such as Interim Director Manufacturing Operations and Director Manufacturing Science & Technology at Emergent BioSolutions. Prior to joining Emergent BioSolutions, Christy has also worked at companies like Neogen Corporation, Assay Designs Inc, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and Geneworks LLC, where they gained valuable experience in assay development, research, and molecular biology. Their extensive knowledge and skills make their a valuable asset in the development and production of medical countermeasures and other biopharmaceutical products.

Christy Bigelow's education history includes a Master of Science (MS) in Leadership and Organizational Dynamics from the University of Michigan, obtained from 2022 to 2024. Christy also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational Leadership from the University of Michigan from 2022 to 2023.

In 2010 to 2011, they obtained a certification in Executive Leadership and Management from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, Christy earned a Master of Science (MS) in Biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Christy started their undergraduate education at UMass Boston, completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology & Chemistry from 1998 to 2000. Before that, from 1996 to 1998, they pursued their undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, majoring in Biology.
