Dino S. Muzzin

SVP, Manufacturing Operations at Emergent BioSolutions

Mr. Muzzin joined Emergent BioSolutions in 2004 and has served as senior vice president, manufacturing operations since August 2019. He previously served as vice president and general manager of Emergent’s Lansing site from January 2016 to August 2019. Prior to that, Mr. Muzzin held various roles including vice president, engineering, facilities and supply chain from March 2013 to January 2016, senior director of facilities, engineering, project management and environment health & safety from January 2010 to March 2013, senior director of manufacturing operations from September 2008 to January 2010, director of engineering from November 2005 to November 2007, and manager of engineering and critical utilities from January 2004 to November 2005. He was a principal investigator in Emergent’s AV7909 anthrax vaccine program and led the effort to complete Emergent’s public-private partnership with Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to establish the Center for Innovation in Advanced Development and Manufacturing (CIADM) in Baltimore, Maryland, one of only three such CIADM facilities in the U.S.

Mr. Muzzin is the American Red Cross Mid-Michigan Chapter board chairman, a vice chair of the Capital Area Manufacturing Council in Lansing, Michigan, a member of both the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering. In 2017, Mr. Muzzin was named the Capital Area Manufacturing Council Executive of the Year.
