Howard Anderson

Mr. Anderson serves as Emergent’s Chief Information Officer where he helps realize the company’s mission of protecting and enhancing life by utilizing the latest digital, information and technology solutions to enable Emergent at scale and connect our global hybrid workforce. Prior to his role as CIO, he served as Vice President, IT Enterprise Business Applications for Emergent.

Before joining Emergent, Mr. Anderson served as Executive Director, Commercial and Marketing IT at Merck where he led Global Commercial/Marketing and Customer Centricity teams. At Merck, he worked with the company’s global business units to create and deploy innovative omni-channel marketing campaigns. In addition, he co-owned and managed digital and technological solutions for Merck’s top 10 global customers.

His more than 25 years of life sciences and technical experience also includes leadership roles in R&D (pre-clinical), manufacturing, quality, supply chain and enterprise business applications, including ERP, Salesforce and HR Solutions.

Mr. Anderson holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Arcadia University.
