Michael Sekoni has extensive work experience in the field of auditing and holds several certifications including CFE, CFSA, CGMA, CIA, CISA, CPA, CCSFP. Michael began their career in 1998 at AF-Group where they served as the Vice President and General Auditor. In 2017, they joined Emergent Holdings in the same capacity.
Michael Sekoni has an extensive education history. Michael obtained a certificate of completion in Executive Education from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2019. In 2011, they earned a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Forensic Accounting from Davenport University, specializing in Forensic Accounting. Furthermore, they hold a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan, which they completed in 1989, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the same university, which they acquired between 1983 and 1987.
Michael has also acquired various additional certifications throughout their career. These include:
- Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer from ISACA in May 2021.
- HITRUST Certified CSF Practitioner, obtained in 2018.
- Certified Public Accountant from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, obtained in 2012.
- Chartered Global Management Accountant from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, obtained in 2012.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), obtained in 2009.
- Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., obtained in 1998.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, obtained in 1998.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., obtained in 1998.
In addition to their formal education and certifications, Michael Sekoni also completed the Disney Approach to Leadership Excellence program at the Disney Institute in 2001.
