Emerging Leaders
Emerging Leaders is a for impact NGO working in vulnerable communities around the world delivering transformation programmes that create both immediate and sustainable change. We focus first on mindset change and transferable life leadership skills which becomes the catalyst to unlocking the amazing potential in people and develops agency. The reason is that our experience suggests that without mindset change the story stays the same, but change your thinking and you can literally change your life. We build on this foundation by providing financial literacy skills (over 80% saving with first month) & livelihoods / entrepreneurship skills and tools that enable people to identify, design and implement income or social initiatives that positively impact both their own lives and create a ripple effect into their communities. We partner with those seeking to work in vulnerable communities with a desire to bring both economic or social change, as well as retailers who seek to build thriving supply chains and supply chain communities. We are youth-centric, but work with all ages as we recognise system change is crucial to providing an environment that enables people to thrive. We believe leadership exists in everyone and when we unlock that potential and empower people to re-imagine and rewrite their story amazing things happen. Our programmes are dynamic, engaging, impactful and fun. They are learner-centric with our approach being a facilitated journey where those involved make the choices and decisions. They are built on timeless leadership principles which are delivered using activities, actions and discussion which make them accessible to all irrespective of levels of literacy. We don’t have a one size fits all model and instead work with our partners to understand the context and challenges and work with them to design the right approach for the desired outcomes. We have a localised approach building regional teams where we have sustainable projects with partners.
