Amy Low

Amy Low is the Managing Director of Portfolio Communications at Emerson Collective. Amy has over 18 years of experience in communications and advocacy, with a focus on the nonprofit sector.

Low began their career at GMMB, a communications firm, where they served as a lead consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In this role, they developed a communications framework for the foundation's regional giving in the Pacific Northwest, created a communications and brand platform for the foundation's work in early learning, and served within the foundation's executive management communications group.

In 2010, Low left GMMB to join Landesa, an NGO that partners with governments around the world to ensure that the rural poor have secure rights to their land. As Landesa's Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer, they led advocacy, external relations, internal communications, and individual donor engagement. Low was also responsible for guiding Landesa through a full brand transition (naming, visual mark, collateral, and creating core message and positioning platform), while leading a team responsible for earned media, social media, advocacy, and donor relations.

Amy Low's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory and English from Westmont College.
