Marshall Fitz

Managing Director, Immigration at Emerson Collective

Marshall Fitz is a seasoned immigration policy expert currently serving as the Managing Director of Immigration at Emerson Collective since June 2015. Fitz has also held prominent roles at the Center for American Progress, including Senior Fellow and Vice President of Immigration Policy since June 2009. Additionally, Fitz contributed as a Council Member on the Homeland Security Advisory Council from September 2015 to October 2017 and served as Director of Advocacy for the American Immigration Lawyers Association from February 2002 to June 2009. Early in the career, Fitz worked as an Associate at Hogan & Hartson and as a Clerk for Honorable Bruce M. Selya at the US Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit. Fitz holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Spanish from the University of Virginia.
