Steve McDermid

Steve McDermid is the current Managing Director of Venture Investing at Emerson Collective. Prior to joining Emerson, Steve was a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where they worked in Corporate Development from April 2013 to August 2017. Steve's previous experience also includes working as Director of Internet & New Media Investment Banking at Stifel Nicolaus (fka Thomas Weisel Partners) from July 2010 to March 2013, and as Vice President at Thomas Weisel Partners from July 2006 to July 2010. Steve's earliest experience in the industry was as a Financial Analyst at Citigroup Corporate and Investment Bank from July 2001 to July 2004.

Steve McDermid has a Masters in Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Quantitative Economics from Tufts University. Steve also has an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
