Paul Allen

Paul Allen, MD MPH has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Paul currently holds the position of Senior Medical Director Hospital Medicine at Emerson Health since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Medical Officer at CharterCARE Health Partners from November 2020 to February 2023. Paul also served as the Chief Quality Officer at Cambridge Health Alliance from 2013 to 2019. Paul held various roles at Steward Health Care, including Regional Vice President Medical Affairs from 2012 to 2013 and Vice President Medical Affairs from 2010 to 2013. Paul has also held positions at Cambridge Health Alliance, including Director, Medical Inpatient Service; Hospitalist from 2006 to 2010, and Associate Director, Medical Residency Program; Hospitalist from 2000 to 2005. Paul began their career as a Harvard General Internal Medicine Fellow, Primary Care Provider, and IM consultant for Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance in 1999, and served as the Chief Resident in the Internal Medicine Training Program from 1997 to 1998. Paul Allen, MD, MPH received their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Sociology from Boston College in 1984. Paul then went on to attend Harvard Medical School, where they obtained their MD degree from 1990 to 1994. Later, in 1997 and 1998, they attended the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and earned their MPH degree with a focus on Public Health.
