Reza Khatami

Reza Khatami, PhD, PMP, is a seasoned professional in mechanical engineering with extensive experience in HVAC and energy technologies. Currently serving as the Manager of Research and Development at Emerson since August 2017, Reza has led innovative projects including the design of high temperature heat pumps and CO2 refrigeration systems. Prior to Emerson, Reza worked as a Technical Team Lead at Rheem Manufacturing, focusing on heat transfer and combustion technologies, and held positions as Principal Research Scientist at UC Berkeley, Visiting Scholar at MIT, and PhD Candidate at Northeastern University, where research included combustion modeling and gasification of biomass. Reza's educational background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, alongside degrees from Sharif University of Technology.
