Mauricio Botero Jaramillo

Mauricio Botero Jaramillo has extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Mauricio is currently the Data Solutions Director for LATAM at Grupo Emi since November 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Latam Corporate IT Director at the same company from April 2021 to October 2023. Before working at Grupo Emi, Mauricio was the Country General Manager at Avanza AI de Colombia from September 2019 to November 2023. Mauricio also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Avanza AI Inc from March 2019 to November 2023. Mauricio's earlier experience includes roles at Suramericana, where they served as Gerente Planeación TI, Gerente Gobierno y Arquitectura Tecnología, Gerente Gestión Información, Gerente Investigaciones Corporativas, Gerente Proyecto Marcas, Gerente Mercadeo, Gerente Investigación y Desarrollo, and Gerente Calidad de Información. Prior to Suramericana, they worked at SURAMERICANA as a Gerente Telecomunicaciones and at EDATEL as an Analyst de Telecomunicaciones.

Mauricio Botero Jaramillo has a diverse and extensive education history. Mauricio earned a Master of Science degree in Management of Technology from Vanderbilt University in 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Universidad EAFIT between 1996 and 2002. In 1990, Jaramillo graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, specializing in Control.

Throughout their career, Jaramillo has also pursued various professional development courses and certifications. In 2015, they completed a certificate program in Strategic Management and Leadership from Universidad de Los Andes. In 2012, they participated in a course on Driving Strategic Value from IT at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Additionally, in 2008, Jaramillo received a diploma in Insurance Senior Management from INS FASECOLDA. Mauricio has also taken courses on topics such as Business Innovation and Customer Service at Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2005 and Marketing Management in Service Companies at the Universidad de La Sabana in 2003 respectively.
