Sam Hest

Sam Hest has extensive experience in legal and compliance roles within the financial industry. Sam began their career at Fried Frank in 2004 as an Associate in the Securities Regulation and Enforcement Group. In 2008, they moved to Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP as an Associate in the Investment Management Department. Sam then joined HedgeOp Compliance, LLC (Cordium) in 2010 as a Senior Vice President. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Ziff Brothers Investments as a Senior Compliance Officer/Counsel. Most recently, Sam was at Eminence Capital, starting in 2015 as the Chief Compliance Officer and Counsel, later becoming the Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel in 2021.

Sam Hest completed their BA from Emory University in 2001 and then went on to earn their JD from The George Washington University Law School in 2004. Prior to this, they attended Horace Mann from 1993 to 1997.
