Aart Lehmkuhl has a strong background in finance and healthcare management. Aart started their career in various development positions before moving into the insurance industry. From 1993 to 1999, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at NMA Group, where they successfully converted loss-making healthcare schemes into profitable ones. In 2000, they joined Al Shatti Private Hospital as CFO and later became the CEO, overseeing 13 specialized clinics and implementing new financial systems. Aart then worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Rand Mutual Assurance from 2003 to 2006. Since 2007, Aart has been the Chief Financial Officer at Emirates Insurance Company.
Aart Lehmkuhl completed their education in various institutions and fields of study. In 1982, they attended the University of Johannesburg and obtained a B Com Acc. degree with a focus on Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, which they completed in 1986.
In 1992, Aart Lehmkuhl enrolled in the University of South Africa and pursued a B Com Honours degree, as well as a Certificate in Theory of Accountancy (CTA), specializing in Financial Management, Management Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing. Aart completed this program in 1993.
The following year, in 1994, Aart Lehmkuhl attained the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants after completing the Chartered Accountant CA (SA) program at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
In 1996, Aart Lehmkuhl furthered their education by attending the University of the Witwatersrand's Executive Development Programme, which focused on Management skills.
In 2005, Aart Lehmkuhl pursued a Diploma in Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases from the University of South Africa. This program provided him with knowledge in the field of Occupational Injuries and Diseases.
Aart Lehmkuhl expanded their expertise in 2008 by acquiring an Islamic Finance Qualification from the Securities and investment Institute in London.
Most recently, in 2020, Aart Lehmkuhl completed a short course in Blockchain at the University of Cape Town.
Additionally, in January 1995, Aart Lehmkuhl obtained the Chartered Accountant designation from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
