Aakash Mohapatra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the payments and financial services sector. Currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Payment Programs, Product, and Ecosystem at Emirates NBD since October 2022, Aakash previously held several key positions at Mashreq Bank, including Senior Product Owner for Payment & Transfers and Product Lead for Faster Payments, where Aakash successfully launched the Instant Payment Platform under the UAE Central Bank's National Payment System Strategy. Prior experience includes digital product management at UAE Exchange, where Aakash drove early-stage digital product development, and a role as Research Associate at S&P Global Market Intelligence. Aakash holds an MBA in Business and Financial Services Operations, a Bachelor's in Commerce from Delhi University, and a certification in Digital Marketing, Social Media & Analytics from Columbia Business School.
