Jamal Al Ahbabi, PMP, has extensive experience in the nuclear energy sector, currently serving as RAWM Director at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation since July 2011. Prior roles at the company include Radioactive Waste Management Manager, Assistant Director, and Engineer. Jamal began the career with a summer internship at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation in 2010 and has also interned at Schlumberger and Bowman Power. Educationally, Jamal holds a Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton.

ENEC is part of ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies with a broad portfolio of major enterprises spanning key sectors of Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy. تأسست مؤسسة الإمارات للطاقة النووية بموجب المرسوم الصادر في ديسمبر 2009 عن صاحب السمو الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان، رئيس دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وتتولّى المؤسسة تمثيل كافة جوانب البرنامج النووي السلمي الإماراتي. تعمل المؤسسة على توفير الطاقة الكهربائية الآمنة والموثوقة والصديقة للبيئة السلمية ضمن شبكة الكهرباء الرئيسية في الدولة من خلال محطة براكة للطاقة النووية، بما يدعم النمو الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، ويساهم في الحد من الانبعاثات الكربونية لمواجهة ظاهرة التغير المناخي. مؤسسة الإمارات للطاقة النووية هي شركة تابعة لـ"أبوظبي القابضة" (ADQ)، التي تعد واحدة من أكبر الشركات القابضة على مستوى المنطقة، والتي تمتلك محفظة واسعة من المؤسسات الكبرى العاملة في قطاعات رئيسية ضمن اقتصاد إمارة أبوظبي المتنوع.
