Marlon Vargas is an accomplished engineering and project management professional with extensive experience in maintenance and operational excellence across various sectors. Currently serving as the Planning, Shutdowns, and Warehouse Manager at Emirates Steel Arkan, Marlon oversees maintenance activities, manages major shutdowns, and optimizes warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime. Previously, as an Operational Excellence Expert at Emirates Steel, Marlon delivered significant EBIT benefits through targeted initiatives. Marlon's career includes key roles at Rio Tinto, focusing on water and wastewater infrastructure, and at OneSteel as a Shutdown Specialist and Maintenance Leader, where strategic improvements were implemented to enhance plant reliability.
