Newton Das is an experienced Electrical and Automation Expert in project engineering, currently managing internal projects at Emirates Steel since November 2010. In a previous role as Head of Section for Electrical & Automation at Emirates Steel, significant contributions were made in the commissioning of a 150-ton Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and various auxiliary plants. Prior to this, leadership was demonstrated as Head of Electrical & Automation at Jindal Shadeed Steel, where a 220/33/6.6 KV main substation was successfully commissioned. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Senior Engineer at Qatar Steel Company, specializing in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment and automation systems related to a Direct Reduction plant and Electric Arc Furnaces. Newton Das holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (Honors) from Government Engineering College, Bilaspur.
