Richard Markey is an experienced A380 Standards Training Captain and Type Rating Examiner currently pursuing a BSc in Geology/Earth Science at Ulster University. They served as an A380 Captain and TRE with Emirates from 2020 to 2021 and were a Senior First Officer on the A340 with Virgin Atlantic from 1998 to 2003. Earlier in their career, they were a Military Helicopter Pilot in the British Army from 1988 to 1995 and a First Officer for British Midland International from 1996 to 1998.
