Peter Wirtz

Peter Wirtz is an accomplished academic currently serving as the Dean for Faculty and Research and Research Professor at emlyon business school since January 2023. Wirtz has been a Distinguished Professor at iaelyon School of Management since September 2011, contributing to the Graduate School of Management at the University Lyon 3. Previous roles include Vice-President in charge of Research at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 from May 2012 to December 2020 and Invited Professor at prestigious institutions such as Universidade de São Paulo, Meiji University, and Université de Paris. Wirtz also co-edited the Review Finance Contrôle Stratégie from June 2008 to May 2016 and held professorships in finance at University Lumière (Lyon 2) and University Panthéon Assas (Paris 2). Educational qualifications include a PhD in Business/Finance from the University of Burgundy and a business administration degree in Finance from Burgundy School of Business, among others.
