Chris Van Kempen

Chris van Kempen is an accomplished design and engineering professional with extensive experience in product development and innovation. Currently serving as Chief Design Officer and Head of Research and Development at Emm since June 2020, Chris leads the development of consumer FemTech products. Prior roles include Lead Design Engineer and Senior Design Engineer at Dyson, where Chris was instrumental in the concept development of personal care electronics and hair styling tools. Previous experience at TomTom involved leading mechanical engineering projects for sports watches and action cameras, while earlier roles at Pure and Vertu focused on designing digital radios, luxury mobile phones, and accessories. Chris holds a 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton and a Master's in Product Innovation and Development from the University of Brighton.
