María Alejandra Sarmiento

María Alejandra Sarmiento serves as the Country Manager for the USA & Canada at Emma – The Sleep Company since April 2024. Prior experience includes roles at Rappi as Regional Merchandising Manager for Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Costa Rica, National Manager of Business Development, and Head of Restaurants Business Unit from December 2018 to December 2023. María co-founded and served as CTO at STYLERZ from January 2015 to December 2018, and also held the position of Interim Country Manager at Frogmi in 2017. Previous roles at Booking.com included Senior Account Manager (Territory Lead) from August 2013 to March 2016, and at Groupon and Manpower as Key Account Manager. María graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, an MBA from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and is currently completing a degree in Interior Design from CENTRO diseño | cine | televisión.
