Sebastian Mertes

Sebastian Mertes is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Emma, a sleep company. Prior to this, they were an investment professional at Permira from August 2014 to April 2019. Before that, they worked as an analyst at Greenhill & Co. from June 2011 to June 2014. Sebastian Mertes has also interned at HSBC in the Investment Banking (M&A) department from July 2010 to September 2010. In addition, they did an internship in microfinance at AMK - Angkor Microfinance Kampuchea from February 2010 to April 2010. Finally, Sebastian Mertes interned in private equity at Deutsche Beteiligungs AG from June 2009 to July 2009.

Sebastian Mertes has a Master of Science in Finance from HEC Paris and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. Sebastian graduated in 2010.

Sebastian Mertes reports to Dennis Schmoltzi, Co-CEO. They are on a team with Vanessa Vollrath - Director of People & Organisation, Adrian Lubkowitz - Head of Creative, and Christian Portz - COO.
