emmanation™ was founded by Emma Jane Taylor, born in 1972. emmanation™ is a series of lifestyle brands built from activities she found helpful (dance, fitness, performing arts, nutrition and wellbeing), during her difficult times.  

Emma Jane was physically/ sexually abused between the ages of 9-16 years old; years that took their toll. To cope with the darkness of her childhood trauma she developed dangerous trauma responses - drink/ drugs/ addictions. It wasn't long before she was being told she was a failure, the girl going nowhere. She had a juvenile delinquent badge slapped on her at 13 by a school psychiatrist - someone she was forced to see or face expulsion. She spent most of her school years isolated in a school office with a chaperone. During this difficult time she realised she had found solace in dance and performing arts. Activities that led her to everything she is passionate about today, from performing arts to fitness to campaigning against child abuse! 

Dance and Fitness was hugely impactful in helping her heal from childhood trauma, and together with many years of therapy has enabled her to exist in a life that she was often told she would not survive, or if she did, would more than likely end up in prison...thankfully neither. Wellbeing formulated her future activities in her professional and personal life. She practises what she preaches, every day - because she truly understands what it feels like to consistently feel well; mentally, emotionally and physically - and she shares that with anyone who wants to listen.
