Emmaus UK
Emmaus is a homelessness charity with a difference. We don't just offer people a bed for the night, we offer a home for as long as someone needs it and meaningful work in one of our social enterprises. Our research shows this has a huge impact on the lives of people who have experienced homelessness, giving them stability and an opportunity to regain the self esteem that is often lost when someone is homeless, by making a contribution to their community. Emmaus social enterprises re-sell good quality second hand furniture, clothing and other goods, with all of the revenue that is generated being used to support the local community or increase the number of places available to support people across the UK.
