Rachel Houtman, M.Ed., LMHC, CDP, is a seasoned Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Emmaus Counseling Center since August 2014, specializing in working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, utilizing modalities such as CBT, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and EMDR. Prior experience includes roles as a Clinical Therapist at the Center for Human Services, where Rachel provided mental health counseling and intervention services within Kenmore Junior High School, and as a Residential Counselor at Ryther Child Center, supporting high-needs children. Rachel also gained valuable experience as a Mental Health Counselor intern at Sound Mental Health, managing a caseload while delivering outpatient services. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Community Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount Holyoke College.
