Eddie Chu is an accomplished creative professional with a diverse background in innovation, art, and technology. Currently serving as an Executive Committee Member for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Eddie also leads innovation in TV content at Apple, focusing on groundbreaking storytelling and content experiences. As an artist, Eddie has dedicated significant time to painting and experimenting with various media since 1993. Previous roles include Creative Director at HBO, where Eddie contributed to innovative projects, and Senior Art Director positions at Bossa NYC and Patch.com, leading design initiatives for high-profile clients and managing design teams. Eddie is an alumnus of Hunter College with a Master’s Degree in Art and holds a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences was founded in 1946 — just one month after network television was born. It is a nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement of telecommunication arts and sciences and to fostering creative leadership in the telecommunication industry. The Television Academy, the only major organization devoted to the television and broadband screen entertainment industry, is made up of over 19,000 members, representing 29 professional peer groups, including performers, directors, producers, art directors and various other artisans, technicians and executives.
