Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Lead at Emory Healthcare

Kristen Burnham has extensive work experience in the field of medical dosimetry. Kristen is currently employed by Roper St. Francis Healthcare as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. Prior to that, they worked at Emory University Hospital as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Lead. Before that, they held positions at University of Maryland Medical Center as a Senior Medical Dosimetrist and as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. In their roles at University of Maryland Medical Center, Kristen worked closely with residents and physicians to create treatment plans for patients using various techniques such as 2D, 3D, IMRT, IMAT, HDR and LDR brachytherapy, arc therapy, SBRT, and image guidance. Additionally, they mentored dosimetry students in the certificate program. Kristen's earlier work experience includes a role as a Physics Research Associate at University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Kristen Burnham obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from Duke University in the years 2001 to 2005. Kristen then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2005 to 2007. In 2010 to 2012, they completed their Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General at the University of Maryland Global Campus. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board in December 2007.
