Avril Occilien-Similien

Avril Occilien-Similien, EdD, CPTD, is an accomplished professional in organizational development and talent management with over 18 years of experience. Since May 2010, Avril has held various leadership roles at Emory University, including Director of Organizational Development and Talent Management and Director of CS Learning & Organization Development. Prior experience includes positions at Georgia-Pacific LLC as a Learning & Talent Development Specialist and at Ocean Bank as a Corporate Trainer. Avril began a career in executive education at Florida International University as a Program Manager. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Vanderbilt University and both a Master of Science in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida International University and Florida State University, respectively.
