Farzad Fereidouni

Associate Professor at Emory University

Farzad Fereidouni currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UC Davis Health since February 2020 and is a Consultant at Briteseed, LLC since August 2019. Previously, Fereidouni was a Project Scientist and Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Davis Medical Center from March 2014 to February 2020, where contributions included the development of novel translational microscopy for real-time histo-pathological applications. Additional experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at TU Delft, focusing on super-resolution microscopy and real-time image reconstruction from April 2013 to March 2014, and a PhD at Utrecht University, where Fereidouni developed a novel detection scheme for confocal microscopy. Earlier roles included Research Assistant at Shahid Beheshti University, where work involved 3D scanning technologies, and R&D Researcher at Faranooran. Farzad Fereidouni holds a Master of Science in Photonics from Shahid Beheshti University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Urmia University.
