Travonnie Mackey is a dedicated education and talent development professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Program Officer at Empact Work, Mackey focuses on creating a more positive work environment for individuals. As a Board Member at Highlander Institute and a member of Chief, Mackey collaborates with influential leaders to drive organizational change. Prior experience includes positions as Associate Partner and Principal at Edgility Consulting, where coaching and professional development were prioritized, and roles at Educators for Excellence where addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion was a key focus. Earlier experience includes instructional coaching at Gwinnett County Public Schools and leadership development at Teach For America, along with a strong foundation in education from Howard University and Georgia State University.
