Kerry Hoerner

Kerry Hoerner, RN, BSH, CHPN, is the Chief Hospice Officer of Suncoast Hospice and Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough. She is responsible for the clinical operations of hospice programs in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. Kerry joined Empath Health in 2015. She has served as the Suncoast South Pinellas Care Center Manager, where she was recognized for her innovation and dedication to life-changing care by receiving the 2019 Empath Health Catalyst Award for Pioneering Heart. That same year, Kerry was promoted to the role of Care Navigation Director prior to becoming Chief Hospice Officer in 2021. She started her career in hospice in 1997 at the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Buffalo, N.Y. During her tenure, she served in a variety of roles, including direct patient care as well as clinical leadership. Kerry earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daemen College in Buffalo, N.Y.
