Kennan Scott is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in education, engineering, and workforce development. Currently serving as Co-Founder of Empathway Designs, Kennan focuses on enhancing workforce development strategies. Previous roles include Vice President at Bitwise Industries, where adaptation of the ecosystem to align with Oakland's community needs was a primary responsibility, and Manager of Computer Science for the Oakland Unified School District, overseeing K-12 computer science instruction for over 40,000 students. Kennan's background also includes founding CODEd Academy, aimed at creating pathways for students of color in technology, and several engineering roles, including Transit Engineer and Project Coordinator. Kennan holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
