Managing Director: Africa - Publishing at Empire Distribution

Munyaradzi Chanetsa has extensive work experience in the music industry, with a focus on publishing and licensing. Munyaradzi currently holds the position of Managing Director for Africa - Publishing at EMPIRE since August 2022. Prior to that, Munyaradzi founded Masters Of The Industry (M.O.T.I) in December 2019. Munyaradzi also worked as an A&R Manager for Africa at Sony/ATV Music Publishing from June 2020 to July 2022. Munyaradzi served as the Head of Licensing & New Business at CAPASSO (Composers Authors and Publishers Association) from February 2019 to June 2020. Before that, they held the positions of Head of Operations Africa and Content & Marketing Manager at Content Connect Africa from September 2015 to February 2019 and October 2009 to February 2019, respectively. Munyaradzi's earlier work experience includes being a Promotion & Marketing Manager at Putumayo World Music, where they undertook various duties such as managing promotional inventory, developing campaigns with tastemakers, and coordinating advertising and publicity efforts. their tenure at Putumayo World Music was from an unknown start date to an unknown end date.

Munyaradzi Chanetsa's education history starts with their completion of the Cambridge Ordinary Levels at St. Johns College from 1997 to 2000. Munyaradzi then pursued their Cambridge Advanced Levels at Speciss College from 2000 to 2002. Following this, from 2003 to 2007, they attended Curtin University and obtained a BComm degree in Advertising & Marketing.

In addition to their formal education, Munyaradzi Chanetsa has obtained several certifications.
