Ben Torkington

Ben Torkington's work experience includes a variety of roles in the gaming and technology industries. Ben is currently serving as the Creative Director at Empire Games. Prior to that, they were the Lead Game Designer at Green Jade Games Ltd from October 2019 to June 2021. Ben also worked as the Director at Benedicts Art & Design Ltd from February 2019 to June 2021. In addition, they served as the Head of Art & Animation at Inspired Gaming Group from August 2018 to February 2019, and as the Lead Artist at Product Madness from June 2016 to June 2018.

Before their roles in the gaming industry, Ben worked as the Senior Technical Artist (AR) at Blippar from November 2014 to April 2016 and as the Lead UI Designer/Artist at Kuato Studios from August 2012 to July 2013. Ben also worked as a Technical Artist at Criterion Games from May 2010 to April 2011. Before transitioning to the gaming industry, Ben had a self-employed role as the Director of Complete Computing Solutions from May 2005 to September 2007 and worked as a Hardware Engineer at Xtreme Computers Unlimited from April 2003 to May 2005.

Ben Torkington completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Games Design from The University of Huddersfield between 2009 and 2012. Preceding this, they attended Bradford WOW Academy from 2005 to 2006 where they obtained a Cisco CCNA degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.
