John Hofer

John Hofer has over 20 years of work experience. John is currently the Vice President of Software Development at EMPLOYERS, where they have been working since April 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Application Development at EMPLOYERS from April 2018 to March 2021. Before joining EMPLOYERS, they worked as a Sr. IT Manager at World Fuel Services from April 2014 to April 2018. John also has experience as a Director of Application Development at Assurant Employee Benefits from October 2007 to March 2014, a Supervisor of Application Development at Sprint from March 2006 to 2007, and a Team Lead at IBM from September 2004 to February 2006. John has also worked as a Team Lead at Sprint from January 2003 to September 2004 and as a Software Consultant at Midwest Consultant Group from August 2002 to January 2003. John began their career as a Software Engineer and later became a DB2 Systems Programmer at Sprint from June 2001 to July 2002 and September 1999 to June 2001, respectively. Prior to Sprint, they worked as an Information Analyst at EDS from May 1997 to September 1999.

John Hofer attended South Dakota State University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
